Dr. Dangal is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Kathmandu Model Hospital, and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at National Academy of Medical Sciences. He is also a General Secretary of Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and a visiting professor at Chitwan Medical College Bharatpur. He has pioneered managing free surgical camps for uterine prolapse in rural Nepal. Dr Dangal is involved in organizing comprehensive reproductive health camps in underserved communities in the country. Currently he is coordinating Obstetric Fistula Care Program in Nepal funded by Fistula Foundation. He is also a member and office bearer of Nepal Medical Association, Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Association of Gynaecological Oncologists, India, American Association for Cancer Research, European Society of Medical Oncology, UICC Global Cancer Control Community, International Union against Cancer (UICC), American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO), Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, etc. He has been honored by awards like SOMA AWARD, RONAST AWARD, FIGO Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology, FIGO / Chien-Tien Hsu fellowship, UICC International Cancer Technology Transfer Fellowship, and Fellowship in International Post-graduate Training Program in Medicine. Dr Hamal has experiences in journal editing and publication for more than a decade. He was former Assistant Editor of Journal of Nepal Health Research Council (JNHRC). Before joining JNHRC, as an executive editor, he was the executive editor of Journal of Nepal Medical Association (JNMA). He is a scholar member of World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and a member of Asia Pacific Association of Medical Editors (APAME). Dr. Archana Amatya is an obstetrician and gynecologist as well as a public health expert. She is a Professor of Public Health at the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. She has 20 years of experiences in the area of reproductive health research. Dr. Amatya also works as the executive editor of the Journal of Nepal Health Research Council. Her research interests are in Reproductive Health, Maternal Health Adolescent Health, and Nutrition. She has several papers published and presented in these areas in national and international journals. Dr. Amatya is an international faculty of Global Health course at the University of Tampere, Finland. Dr Neopane has been practicing medicine since the last twenty eight years. He is involved in journal editorial role since 2005. He started his editorial careers from the Medical Journal of Shree Birendra Hospital (MJSBH) where he managed the overall publications. He has provided technical assistance to conduct the equity analysis and develop interventions to improve the MNCH services in Government’s five year Nepal Health Sector Strategy (2015-2020) and National Health Policy (2014). He has supported Government to conduct the bottleneck analysis of scaling up newborn interventions in Nepal and develop the protocol to improve clinical and outreach care for newborn health. He is currently leading the multi-country evaluation of Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP) core indicators in Nepal at the UNICEF Nepal. His experiences on evaluation studies involves neonatal resuscitation quality improvement interventions in health facilities for reducing perinatal mortality, and the innovative model of identifying high risk newborns using a foot length measurement. Dr. KC has been the principal lead to intervention study on evaluating “Effect of delayed umbilical cord clamping versus early cord clamping on infant anemia at 8 and 12 months, neuro-developmental milestone at 12 months, 3 years and 4 years”. He has several publications in internationally recognized peer review medical journal. He is also a reviewer for several high impact medical journals.

Dr. Yadav is working as a Consultant for Obstetrics and Gynecology in Paropakar Maternity & Women’s Hospital under Ministry of Health. She has been working as Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the National Academy of Medical Sciences since 2003. She is a life member of Nepal Medical Association and Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist. She was the executive member of the society for two consecutive terms in the year 2003-2007 and then again joined the third time in the year 2013-2015. She worked as a Social and Scientific Secretary in the NESOG executive board during 2013-15. Prof Yadav was selected as Fellow of the International College of Surgeons in obstetrics and Gynecology in January 2013. She also worked as a Course Director and Instructor in Advance Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Provider Course at NSI Office Sanepa and Teku in January 2017 for medical officers. Prof Yadav was a editorial board member for the Nepal Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She has number of publications in national and international peer reviewed journals. Prof Yadav was the recipient of Shan S. Ratnam Young Gynaecologist Award awarded during the 19 th Asian and Oceanic Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, held in Seoul, Korea, in 2005.
Dr. Joshi is an Assistant Professor in Paediatrics at Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS). She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics, UK and Nepal Paediatric Society. Dr Joshi is in charge of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Patan Hospital. She is also a co-ordinator for Biomedical Ethics Teaching Committee and a member of the PAHS Institutional Review Committee (IRC) where she extensively deals with ethical rigour of research conducted by the PAHS.. She was involved in the development of the ‘Operational guideline and clinical protocol for strengthening newborn services in district and regional hospitals’ as a part of Nepal Paediatric Society (NEPAS), newborn committee member. Dr. Joshi has keen interest on improving risk management in healthcare and thus has developed clinical guidelines and overseen several quality improvement audits. Her research work includes: use of tissue Doppler echocardiography in newborn infants, Long term respiratory and cardiac outcomes in prematurely born children, and various aspects of infection control. Her research work has been published in various National (Journal of Patan Academy of Health Sciences and Journal of Nepal Pediatric Society) and international (European Journal of Echocardiography, European Journal of Paediatrics, Archives of the Diseases in Children, Early Human Development, Antimicrobial agents and Chemotherapy and EMBO Molecular Medicine) journals.
