Dr. Aarati Shah is a Professor of Oncology at National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) where she extensively coordinates with faculties and postgraduate medical students in organizing training and curricula in Oncology. She is also actively engaged with the Department of Clinical Oncology at Bir Hospital providing outpatient and inpatient clinical care to cancer patients through chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She is interested in extending quality services to improve outcomes for cancer patients. Dr. Shah also has a wider experience in health research and research ethic. She is a committee member of Ethical Review Board at the Nepal Health Research Council since its establishment and the member secretary of Institutional Review Board at the NAMS. She carries out an extensive review of proposals to assess the technical and ethical standards of the research proposals submitted for the ethical clearance. She is also engaged in facilitating national as well as institutional workshops and training related to health research ethics.
