Dr. Ashis Shrestha is an Associate Professor in the Department of General Practice and Emergency Medicine at Patan Academy of Health Sciences. He holds an MD in General Practice and a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine. Since joining the faculty in 2009, Dr. Shrestha has accumulated extensive experience in emergency and disaster medicine, contributing significantly to clinical practice, research, and academic development. He has been actively involved in research and has several publications to his credit. Dr. Shrestha currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Nepal Medical Association (JNMA), where he plays a vital role in promoting scientific publishing in Nepal. In addition, he has been engaged in conducting training on research methodology, scientific publication, and research ethics for health professionals. He is also a member of the Ethical Review Committee of the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), contributing to the ethical oversight of health research in Nepal.
