Fourth National Summit of the Health and Population Scientists in Nepal
Summit was conducted
The fourth national summit of health and population scientists on the theme ‘Advancing Evidence for changing health systems in Nepal” was a platform for researchers and policy makers to come together and discuss about the research evidence and their potential implication in health policy making in Nepal. The theme of the summit aimed to invoke rigorous discussion on need of high quality evidences in changing scenario of health systems.
There were 64 oral presentations in parallel session, 7 presentations in plenary session and 67 poster presentations covering different topics including non-communicable diseases, communicable disease, nutrition and food safety, health systems, mental health, biomedical research, maternal, sexual and reproductive health, neonatal and adolescent health, environmental, occupational and urban health. More than 1200 participants throughout the country were present in the summit.
