Since 2019, the Ethical Review Board of the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC) has consistently participated in and contributed to the Forum for Ethical Review Committees in the Asian and Western Pacific Region (FERCAP). In 2019, the Ethical Review Board (ERB) of NHRC was formally recognized as a member of FERCAP, reaffirming that its review procedures and working modalities are aligned with international ethical standards while upholding Nepal’s social and cultural values. Beyond active participation, NHRC has also demonstrated leadership within the network. In 2024, NHRC successfully hosted the FERCAP International Conference in Nepal, delivering a high-quality event that met global standards without any compromise. This achievement reflects NHRC’s strong commitment to strengthening ethical review ecosystems at the national and regional levels. The 25th FERCAP International Conference, held under the theme Ethics and Quality by Design: Challenges and Opportunities in Research and Health Practice from 23–26 November 2025 in Thailand, brought together experts and institutions from around the globe. NHRC once again participated actively and contributed meaningfully through discussions, presentations, and collaborative exchanges. Here are some beautiful moments captured during the conference.
